What to know before you pay.
What is free, and what is the catch?
A round of your own is ten questions written for you from a topic, a text you paste or a lesson plan.
Writing one costs us money, so free is a trial: 50 trial questions per account when you sign in with Google or Microsoft, once, and not refilled. That is five rounds of ten. Without signing in there are 10, shared by everyone on the same network. The weekly Friday quiz and the
ready-made quizzes are free with no limit: they are written once and shared, so one more host costs
us nothing.
All the free questions together share a budget for each month. If it is used up, the trial stops for
everyone until next month. You see how many you have left before you write a topic, never after.
Generating a quiz costs us money. So there are hourly limits per host and for the whole service, 50 free
trial questions per account, and a shared monthly budget that can pause the trial for everyone.
What is free, and what the catch is.
What do players pay?
Players never see a price, a card field or a sign-up. Eight people or eight hundred cost the same, which
for the quiz is nothing.
How do I buy?
Buying needs a sign-in. The prices in kroner are for buyers in Norway. You see the price before you pay, and the card is charged only for what you have chosen.
- 100 questions. Start a quiz and type a topic. When the trial questions are used up, the purchase is right there, and you pay by card without leaving the page. The questions never expire. Start a game →
- Event package. Create an event. The package is on the event’s card, and you pay while you prepare, not on stage. Create an event →
- Q&A. Open Q&A, upload your slides and pick a size before the talk. Opening Q&A to the audience costs nothing extra. Open Q&A →
- Subscription. You pick the level in the portal. Subscribe in the portal →
There is no seat to buy, and nothing is sold to players. Q&A and the event package are sold in Norway only. Where selling outside Norway is open, the subscription and the 100 questions are listed for your country further down.
What is the event package?
An event holds one quiz in its running order for free. The event package, 249 kr,
lets the running order of that event hold up to three, and brings the julebordquiz with it: 30 questions
about Christmas in Norway, in Norwegian, that only open in an event with the package. Polls are free in every event and do not count. It is charged once, from the card on
your account, the moment you buy it, and it belongs to that event only. Nothing else changes: the room, the
code and the screen links are the same.
How does Q&A work, and when is the card charged?
An answer is one question klapp drafts an answer for. If the answers run out mid-talk, you can add 100
more from the host controls with one tap. If you do not, the room can still ask. You just stop getting
drafted answers.
When you set up the event, not on stage. You choose the size and pay while you prepare,
so nobody stands in front of a room waiting for a banking app. Opening Q&A to the audience charges
nothing.
If it never opens, you get the money back. An event whose Q&A is never opened to the
room is refunded automatically. One session is one Q&A charge, plus any +100 you add, however many quizzes
run in it. If the event has several sessions, you pay for all of them at once, and you get the whole amount back if none of them opens.
Full refund until five or more have taken part. Write to hello@playklapp.com before five or
more people have taken part in the same round or the same Q&A, and you get the whole amount back, for
Q&A and for the event package. 100 more answers are not refunded once they are added.
What does the subscription give?
The weekly Friday quiz stays free: twenty questions about the week’s news, the same
for everyone, with no account. The subscription makes it your own, and gives you a monthly allowance of questions for your own rounds.
Team and Business pick their own topics, swap out a question before Friday, put the company name on the big
screen and open the ready-made Norwegian quizzes, the julebordquiz among them. Business has everything in Team
and adds Q&A. Teacher is for rounds of your own, the weekly quiz and polls.
You can subscribe now. In Norway you pay in kroner, with a card issued in Norway. Where selling outside Norway is open, the list for your country is further down. You pick the level and month or year in
the portal. The subscription renews every month, or every year if you pick the yearly price, until you cancel.
You cancel with one click, and it runs to the end of the period you have paid for. As a consumer you have 14
days to withdraw. The terms have the rest.

Who is the seller?
Payment goes through Stripe. The seller is Cadence AS, org. no. 912 024 652, registered in the
Norwegian Register of Business Enterprises (Foretaksregisteret), Svaneviksveien 13, 5063 Bergen, Norway.
Cadence AS is not registered for VAT, so no
VAT is added to these prices. Cadence AS sells directly only to buyers in Norway: the card must be issued
in Norway and have a Norwegian billing address. Where selling outside Norway is open, the subscription and the 100 questions are sold through Link instead, and Link is then the seller. The ready-made quizzes are on Etsy, from any country, which takes
the payment. Your slides are kept in memory
for the session only and deleted when it ends — privacy has the
details. The terms say when you get your money back and how to withdraw.
