Friday quiz for the classroom

A Friday quiz on what your class covered.

Students need no account.

The whole class answers on their phones, and you show the questions on the board. Students need no account and no app.

Start with the whole class →

Open the link on the computer that is connected to the board. The code and a QR code come up, and students scan it with their phones. This week's Friday quiz is free.

Try it yourself first. You play alone on your phone and see how it feels.

Or make your own round from this week's plan

Paste this week's plan or learning goals and klapp writes ten questions on exactly that. They come up on the board the same way.

The round from your plan is ten questions klapp writes for you. It uses trial questions: 10 of the 50 on your account, or the 10 that everyone on the same network shares without signing in.

  • Free: 50 trial questions per account, once. Without signing in there are 10. This week's Friday quiz is free every week.
  • 100 questions for 99 kr, one-off. Used after the trial, and they never expire. On sale now. You need to sign in. In Norway you pay with a Norwegian card; outside Norway the 100 questions are sold where selling is open (see the full prices).
  • Teacher, 49 kr a month or 549 kr a year: 120 questions of your own a month, the Friday quiz and polls. On sale now, in the portal. Renews until you cancel.
  • Team and Business, 149 and 399 kr a month: 300 and 600 questions of your own a month, your own Friday quiz setup and the ready-made quizzes. On sale now, in the portal. Renews until you cancel.

Teacher has no Q&A, ready-made quizzes or company name. Q&A is paid per session. Teacher is 49 kr a month in Norway; outside Norway it is sold only where the pricing page lists your country.

All the free questions together share a budget for each month. If it is used up, the trial stops for everyone until next month. This week's Friday quiz is free as before.

Without signing in, everyone on the same network shares 10 trial questions, so a whole school can use them up. Sign in with Google or Microsoft to get 50 trial questions on your account. You come straight back here.

All prices.

You read the questions before the lesson and can strike any you don't want · The text is not stored

This week's news, free

No plan to paste? The Friday quiz is twenty questions on what happened this week. You open one link, and the students scan the QR code or type in the code they see.

How a lesson goes

You make the round and start the game. The code is on the screen, and students go to /join on their phones and type it in. Students need no account and no app. The teacher needs no account to play either. What rounds of your own cost is at the top of the page.

The same round for a parallel class. A round you made can be played again for free. It works in the same browser, for 7 days after the round was made.

Answering fast earns nothing. The first to answer scores the same as the student who reads every option twice. The countdown can be hidden or switched off, and then answers close when everyone has answered or when you close them.

Nothing about the class is kept. The room is deleted ten minutes after the game ends, with no result sheet. Privacy has the whole list.

Read the questions before the lesson

The round from your plan is written automatically from your text. The questions stay with what you pasted, but a question can still be wrong or badly worded. You see every question with its answer and explanation before anything starts, and you strike the ones you won't stand behind. Read them all before the lesson.

The weekly news quiz is about news written for adults: sport, celebrities, world events, science and odd stories. It is not adapted to an age group, and some weeks a story can sit close to war or crime. Tap "Try it yourself first" on your own phone before the lesson. You then play this week's set alone and see every question with its answer, explanation and source.

A new news set comes every Friday and is the same for everyone. If you use it on a Monday, you get last Friday's set.

What this is not

klapp is not a school product. There is no class list, no gradebook and no link to a school system, and klapp does not know your curriculum: the round is only as good as the text you paste. The text is sent to the service that writes the questions, and it is not stored by us. For a quiz on a topic without pasting anything, see for teachers.

Paste the plan. Read it. Start it.
