About
A quiz nobody had to write.
What this is
klapp is a quiz for a room. You type a topic, and the questions are generated for that round. There is no library to browse and no questions to write, because there is no authored content at all.
Players join from their phones with a code. They never make an account, and the size of the room is never what you pay for. A quiz is free to host. A host who signs in can also run an event, one code for a whole talk, for free, and Q&A, where the room asks and klapp drafts answers from the speaker's own material, paid per session — see pricing.
Who builds it
One founder, working on it alongside other things, and run by Cadence AS, a small Norwegian company. It started because every tool in this category asks the host to prepare, and preparation is the reason most rooms never get a game at all.
The project is new. It has no funding and no launch date, and it has three paid products: ready-made quizzes on Etsy, the event package and Q&A, all launched in October 2026. The terms and the privacy page say what is true today. If something on this site reads like a promise, treat it as an intention instead. Write to hello@playklapp.com.
What it is not
It is not a knowledge test, and it does not give points for answering fast. It is not a content library, and it is not trying to be a school system. Those are choices, not gaps we intend to fill later.
