For trade show booths · store openings · club events
The screen on your booth shows a QR code. Whoever is standing there scans it and answers on their phone. No app to download. With six questions, the winner is on the screen about five minutes later and collects the prize from you on the spot. Then you open a new round of the same quiz for the next group.

You prepare the quiz in advance. Paste text from your website, or upload a product sheet or brochure as a PDF, and klapp writes the questions. You read and approve them before the show. Sign in first and the quiz stays on your account until the show starts. Without signing in, it lasts seven days and stays in that one browser. The same quiz runs again for each new group.
You run the round. Copy the big-screen address from the lobby and open it in a new tab. The QR code and a six-digit code are there. Anyone walking past scans and is in, with no account and no name to type. klapp gives each player a nickname. Once people are in, press start on the big screen. If you press start in the host tab, the round can begin before anyone has seen the QR code. Then you press next after each question. Turn on auto-advance and the round runs by itself. Six questions with auto-advance take about five minutes. The default is ten questions and about seven minutes, so pick the length when you make the quiz.
The winner steps up. The prize is on the screen before the first question. When the round ends, the winner taps “I am standing here” on their own phone, and the booth screen answers in the same second. A screenshot will not work. If the winner has moved on, one tap passes the prize to the next place.
There is some work between rounds. Every round is a new room, with a new code and a new QR code. The “same round, new room” button drops the prize. So go through the form instead: pick “a topic”, type the prize under settings, go back and press “play again” on the round. The screen does not follow by itself, so you open the big screen the same way for each new room. That is also where you turn auto-advance back on. Plan on one person staying at the laptop the whole time.
Everyone needs a phone and a connection. Coverage in an exhibition hall can be poor. Play one round at the booth before the doors open.
At a trade show booth. That is where people walk past in a hurry. They can take the prize with them right away, and the questions are about what you make.
When a store opens. A round every half hour by the till or in the window, with questions about the store and what it sells. The prize is on the counter.
At a club event. At half time, by the kiosk or at the season opener. The questions can come from the club’s own history, and the prize can be a shirt or a season ticket.
People answer in the browser on their own phone. Nothing to download while standing in the aisle.
Players give no name and no e-mail. Scan the code and you are in.
klapp writes them from what you have already published. You read them and cut what you do not want.
You make it once and read it once. Then the same quiz runs again for each new group.
Rounds do not start by themselves. Someone at the booth opens each round and presses start. That is also how a pilot works today: you run it by hand, and we help with the setup. We will build automatic start only once a pilot is booked, and we do not promise it will be ready for your show.
klapp does not fetch your website for you. You paste the text or upload a file. For the first pilots, we do it for you.
The first booths are free, in return for telling us how it went. You bring a screen and a laptop, one person to run the rounds, and the prizes. We help with the setup.
A booth runs on ordinary rooms, so you do not need an event. Inside an event, the “play again” route does not work. An ordinary quiz is free. The questions come out of the free trial of 50, and playing the quiz again costs nothing. You pay only for what you add, and that is on pricing.
Do you build booths, or sell space at a show? With your own partner link you get a share of what the customers you send pay in their first year. The terms are on the partner page.
