A quiz round inside your talk.

The question on the big screen. The answers on every phone.

klapp puts a quiz round into a presentation or lecture: the question goes on the screen you are already presenting on, everyone in the room answers on their own phone, and nobody installs an app or makes an account.

Free to host · No account for the room · A round in a minute or two

01 / break up the talk

Five questions, halfway through

Forty minutes in, type what the first half was about and play five questions. The room gets a break that is still about your subject, and you read every question before anyone sees it.

02 / check what landed

Did the point get through

Hand over the slides and the questions come from them. Each reveal shows the right answer and who was certain, so you know before the next slide whether the point got through or needs saying again.

03 / end with a contest

Finish with ten

Close with a full round of ten. Points come from being right and from how sure you said you were, never from answering fast, so the back row competes with the front.

How it works, in three steps

1. Open it on the laptop. Open playklapp.com/host on the laptop that drives the projector, type the topic or hand over your deck, and read every question before the room sees one. The host page has a link that opens the big screen in a new tab, next to your slides.

2. Show the code and the QR. The big screen shows a six-digit code and a QR. The room opens it in the phone browser. Nothing is installed, nobody signs up, and every player is handed a name.

3. Start when the room is in. You see how many have joined. Start the round, and the question is on the big screen and on every phone at once. Answering fast earns nothing, and you can keep the window open until everyone has answered.

How a round plays, question by question, is on the quiz page. What happens to a file you hand over is on quiz from a document.

Running a whole day rather than one talk? Each talk gets its own event, with its own code, polls and Q&A. How a day is set up, what it costs and what does not exist yet is on the organizer page. Running it from PowerPoint, Teams or Zoom, with no add-in, is on its own page.

What it costs

The quiz is free. From the pricing page, word for word: “A quiz costs nothing and needs no account. An event is free once you sign in. A ready-made quiz for an occasion is sold on Etsy, from any country. In Norway, the event package and Q&A are paid here.” Players never pay, never sign up, and the room size is never the price.

For a whole talk, an event: one code and one QR from your first slide to your last, quizzes and polls one after another, steered from your phone. Free when you sign in with Google or Microsoft. The event package is 249 kr once per event for up to three quizzes in one event. Q&A, where the room asks and klapp drafts answers from your own slides, is paid per session: 119 kr for 100 answers, 199 kr for 200, 379 kr for 400.

Prices are in Norwegian kroner and sold to buyers in Norway. The whole list, with when the card is charged and when you get the money back, is on pricing. What is free, and the catch, is on the free page.

Four questions before a talk

Does the room need an app or an account? No. Players open the six-digit code in the phone browser. Nothing is installed and nobody signs up. No names and no answers from single players are kept after the game. If the host is signed in, the host account keeps numbers for the round: how many played and how many answers were correct.

How many people can play? There is no participant limit in the code, and the size of the room is never the price. The largest room measured is 10 240 synthetic clients in one game on 13 September 2026, with no answer lost. No real room that size has played yet.

Does it work in a hybrid meeting or on a video call? Yes. Share the big screen in the call. People in the room and at home join with the same code, and the question and the four answers are on every phone too, so a group with no shared screen can still play.

Can the questions come from my own slides or document? Yes. Hand over the deck, a PDF, a Word file or plain text, and the questions are written from what is in it. You see the extracted text first and review every question before play. The file is never stored; a PDF or an image is read by our model provider, Anthropic.

The measurement behind the second answer is on the load test page, and what is and is not kept is on privacy.

Before the talk

klapp deploys often. Since 8 October 2026 a running game is saved and usually goes on after a restart, but that is not a promise, so try the room before the day and keep the round short.

What this page does not claim. No speaker has told us they ran klapp in a talk, so there are no logos and no quotes from speakers here. Five questions are five minutes of your talk; they do not rescue a talk that is not working. The all-hands, with the load test and the category's own numbers, has its own page.

Five questions. Then back to your slides.
